I like to think of my petty unfollows in the ether and in real life as "gut instincts."

That makes us sound more evolved, doesn’t it? Let’s go with it.

I never “got” Huberman. I don’t like his podcast on alcohol…it’s more like stream of consciousness than an organized talk. Who’s got time for that? To me he came off as another dude who likes to hear himself talk. Not surprised he turned out to be such a dick.

I found Dr Rangan Chattergee and his podcast live better feel more to have the ‘vibe’ hubermann lacks.

Love this podcast. Dr C has a huge following in the UK since his TV show. I find him (and his books) so likable and authentic and just very accessible :-)

The Emotionally Immature Parents series has been sooooo helpful for me. I have the audio and listen to little 5 minute nuggets when I need a pep talk. Love you always 🫶🏽

Omg yes!! I read her book a few years ago, realized how much it was my mom to a T and then forgot about it. I was thrilled when she was on the pod and have really enjoyed the valuable content she is getting out to so many

Always enjoy your Dig Lists. That song and performance was amazing, right to my heart. Appreciate the Pema Chodron reco's, too. And I am always on the look out for a good book to read. Thanks!

Love Love Love the Dig lists, thank you! I've probably mentioned this before, but The Rachel Incident by Irish author Caroline O'Donoghue is a delightful novel!

Huberman gives me the ick too, I think it’s the unmitigated bro-ness and the privilege, entitlement and misogyny that comes along with it.

Thank you for many things but especially the nudge towards Pema Chodron’s audio books. When Things Fall Apart (the paper book) has been my go to and, considering how this past year plus has been a major Things Fall Apart time, I’m surprised (not surprised) that I haven’t turned to it. Reading and sticking to anything has been difficult. Listening to Pema has been amazing. She’s just SO good and I love her sense of humor - ‘n’ for nutcase 😂. She helps me soften the parts that are so hard on myself. What a gift.

The Emotionally Immature Parents episodes were SO good. They reminded me of how seen I felt upon discovering the Adult Children of Alcoholics laundry list. (I don’t personally resonate with all the wording on that list and don’t belong to ACA. Still - wildly familiar and eye opening.)

THANK YOU. Specifically for this: "be careful not to pathologize normal freaking needs, people!"

I have listened to the TMST pod with Kelly McDaniel which then led me to read Mother Hunger and went "whoa that is me" several times. I have questioned my needs several times and wondered if they are "love addiction". I will now search out Pia Melody and Jodi White. thank you thank you thank you and sending love and hugs your way!

I’m a Push Off Retreat super fan and really value the experience I had last October. Will the retreat be the same format as last year? Do you recommend it for returners?

Hi Skye! Yes it’ll be the same format. People have definitely taken my courses or retreats multiple times and said they felt different each time, but the format will be the same, so it’s totally your call.
