OMG, Kelton Wright: "I mean god fucking kill me. Drag me into the meadow and let the moles live in my lungs because if you see me write that, it’s because I can’t afford health insurance anymore.".... let the moles live in my lungs - has a more beautiful and powerful sentence ever been written????? *Thank you* for sharing the gorgeous column. (And yes, TY Holly!). I love words.

Congrats on your new company! And thank you for helping me refresh my book list. I've been reading a lot of memoir and "self-help" lately and I feel the need for some fiction.

I'm not great at absorbing compliments, so I bought a candle and am going to think of that compliment every time I burn it.

Congrats on Alma Joe!

I also cannot stop talking about or telling people about Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. I recommended it to my library customers all the time. Surprisingly, most had not heard of it.

Although I resisted reading it for months because, on the surface, it sounded to me like it was about gaming, I finally read it after it was one of TLC's book club pics and I also found it a life changing read. Gabrielle Zevin's writing is just SO good-both her storytelling and the actual writing-such a rare combo. I listened to a certain soundtrack while reading it and when I hear certain songs, I can still recall which scene I was reading.

Thanks for the Summer reading recs!

The line “letting go of needing resolution cracked something open in me” struck me like a tuning fork resonant not because it offers closure, but because it doesn’t. It speaks to the quiet power of surrender, the kind that asks nothing in return.

And yes to “this is where I’m going to die.” I think it reminded many of us that sometimes the bravest, most transformative act is simply standing still in the wreckage with no tidy bow, no sweeping epiphany, just the raw grace of being fully awake to what is.

P.S. Thank you for making me feel less alone in not loving Euphoria, and now I can’t wait to dive into Father of the Rain.
